Beginning My Blogging Journey ♥ Mini Etude House Lipstick Review

I've always liked the idea of being a beauty blogger, and I already follow many of the big named bloggers out there, so I finally decided to take a leap and try doing it myself. Make-up is a big passion of mine and I am currently studying to become a make up artist, so this seemed like a good way to try to use my passion to help other people. I hope to post many swatches and reviews in the future!

I come from Wellington, New Zealand, but I cannot wait to move overseas one day (hopefully to the UK somewhere). Make-up is incredibly expensive over here, and most brands are not stocked in stores, so in turn I have become a bit of an online shopping addict!

I am seriously in love with this packaging! I think the casing for the lipstick looks absolutely adorable and will definitely be one of the ones that I keep on my dresser - it is far too pretty not to!!

The lipstick bullet itself is embossed with the Etude House 'E' logo which is also on the lipstick casing. I love how it looks like an old fashioned wax letter seal. The lipstick almost looks too pretty to use!

Here is how the colour looks swatched on my hand. The left side is the lipstick built up (around 3 swipes) and on the right is the colour pay off with just one swipe. I love the way that this lipstick looks both built up and also how it looks sheer, which I think makes it a nice versatile lipstick.

I think this lipstick would make a very nice everyday colour as it is quite sheer, but could also look quite lovely being built up slightly more when going out maybe paired with a smokey eye.

♥ Pros:

Can be worn built up or sheerly
Very moisturising on your lips
No overwhelming fragrance
Beautiful packaging

♥ Cons:

Hard to buy from New Zealand
Sheerness could be a con for those that like vibrant lipsticks

Overall I think that this lipstick is quite lovely and it has left me wanting to try out more of their lip colours from their other ranges. Until then though, this one is will be sitting looking all pretty on my dresser.

Milly
